2.  REUNION
Still having warm fuzzies from 20 year class reunion.
We had 23 people in our graduating class.
Small school fer sure!
And 8 came to our reunion (plus families.)
But was GREAT catching up.

3.  Birthday Month
All 3 of our boys have birthdays this month.
Makes it a FUN yet LONG month!
We celebrated the last one...
YAY!

4.   HAIRCUT
This is old news.
But I continue to like it.
That's the sign of a good cut, right!!??
5.  LEAVING.
This is actually not a highlight, though this video does make me laugh.
My hubby took this a few weeks ago, when I was leaving for 2 hours.
Now I am leaving for the weekend.
Girls Bachlorette Weekend for one of the weddings I am in later.
You know, its sad that they are sad.
But it sure makes me a better mom to get time away!!
So yay for weekend away, and yay for coming home to these sweeties!!!

...high five...

YAY for TRACKTOWN USA

If you've read the past couple posts,  you know the Olympic Trials are in town!
And we (I) have been consumed by them.
So so so inspiring!!

So I think my High 5s for this week probably all rotate around this subject!!

1.  Race Time!!
Oregon Track Club did a free race for kiddos.
On Hayward Field!
So fun.
Here's a pic of my sweet littles, runnin where Ashton Easton just did!

2.  Thankful for Nike.
Sound cheesey?
As a runner-type, I love their clothes.
They make running fun....
and check out their new shoes
(which are WAY BRIGHTER in person!!)

3.  Ice Cream!!
And mustaches!!

4.  Inspiring People
Sarah Hall and Lolo Jones are on the top of my list this week.
They are an example of dedication, pushing to the limit
Using gifts God gave you
While still representing what you believe and being real.
Go Girls Go!!

5.  Thankful for my inspiring little guys!
Here's 2 of them, just being themselves!!

Ok, well BE INSPIRED!
Go out there and run or walk or take a drive.
Do something new.
Do something you love.
Lets all start creating our 5 great things for next weeks list, ey!!!!

...high five for friday...

F-rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr-i-day!!

Its the end of a week.
This one ZOOMED by.
I had so many plans, and not so many got accomplished.
O well!
Lets talk about my Friday High 5....

1.  Thankful for journaling!
I have done this off and on, usually getting a new journal and making one entry and then losing the thing!!  But lately I have glimpses for what journaling regularly would be like, and I love it!!
Try it!

2.  On a lighter note, I have started enjoying painting my fingernails!  And this is a life saver....

3.  I LOVE MY FAIR LADY!
\And this week I have had the songs stuck in my head every time I turn around.  Might be because one is my ring tone for my sis!

4.  ALWAYS my boys are a highlight of the week!
\Here's the little 2 enjoying push-ups in the SUNSHINE!!!!!!
They teach me how to enjoy life!!

5.  And #5 is for Zany Zoo...
a local pet shop/animal zoo place that is amazing!
We know the owners and have lived by it for years
but for some reason this was my first visit.
AMAZING.
Big turtles, bigger snakes, skunks, an alligator named Tinkerbell...
they had it all!!  We will be back!!

Well, thanks for high 5ing me and if you link onto Lauren's
page than I will high 5 you back as I read your post!!

Have a great weekend!!

...high five for friday...

HIGH FIVE!!!
Up high, down low, too slow Joe!!

Yay for Fridays, yay for another week closer to summer!!

Here are my High 5s for this week...

1.  My quesidilla maker...  amazing amounts of ways you can
make quick and easy "triangles" that my boys love!!

 2.  Turkey burgers!  Or anything with ground turkey.
Tastes great, good for ya, cheaper than cow.  We like it!

3.  I am thankful for SUPER HEROES!!!  And the HOURS of entertainment and imagination stimulation the provide my family.  Drawing, dressing up like, acting out, and watching.  Yay for heroes!!

4.  Washable markers... again, hours and hours of entertainment.  So good to take digital pics of their masterpieces, so I don't have to save every single one.  And yay that it washes out - who ever invented that is a HERO!

5.  WATER.  I am working on being thankful for water...
I need to drink more!  As you may have read, I am cutting back caffeine.
Now I gotta add the H2O.  Gonna be working on that this week!

All right - hope you're week was great too and you get a chance to count your blessings!!  Enjoy the holiday, and THANKS to all the people who fight to protect our right to this beautiful and free life we get to live!!!

Thanks going out once again to From My Grey Desk for letting us link up to High Five for Fridays!!  Check out her blog to see 100s of others!!

...High Five for SATURDAY?!?!...

HIGH FIVE FOR.....errrrrr..... uhhhh.....  SATURDAY!!

Ok, I am a day late!  But what the heck - lets high 5 anyways!!

Here we go - the  5 things I'm thankful for this week:

1.  my favorite gum!

2.  the fact that EVERYTHING LOOKS BETTER TAN!!!
No, I don't lay out on tinfoil with baby oil.  But ya gotta admit, getting some color is a good thing.
Vitamin D and all too right?!?!

3.  COFFEE!  If you read my earlier post, I am cutting back on caffeine as of tomorrow.  YIKES.  But I will still get my cup in the morning!

4.  Twisted bangs!!  Since I cut mine, I'm loving them.  But I found this tutorial online and boy is it a lifesaver.  Especially for FRIZZY hair like mine!!
(this girl has TONS of great hair tutorials at The Small Things Blog)

5.  My SISTER!  We got to hang severl times, including sitting in her hot tub talking for HOURS.  How blessed am I to have a sister who is my best friend??!!  Love her!

Thats my week!  A day late, but who's keeping track??!!

Also happy to say this is my 40th post!!  If you read my first post, you will know I was going to try this blogging thing for 40 days.  Well, that kind of changed to 40 posts as I missed a day here and there.  The adventure has been fun.  I may just continue!!

(My favorite part has been being part of High Five for Friday with Laren at From My Grey Desk.  So fun!)

Happy Weekend!!!

...HIGH FIVE FOR FRIDAY...

.F.R.I.D.A.Y.

High Five!

1.  Ok, this is blatant reverse psychology!!  Can I say I am thankful for laundry, and then I will be????
Well, its worth a try!!
2.  I truly am thankful for this DVD.  My boys love it.  Good stuff!  Go Hillsong!!

3.  I am thankful in advance for this... well, this is just a pic I got on internet.  But I am thankful that I AM GOING TO create a path in our backyard in the next week or so.  Probably won't look like this, but it will be made of rocks.  And again, experimenting here.  If I'm thankful in advance, will it happen???!!!

 4.  I am TRULY and REALLY thankful for going into the summer injury free!!!!! Ready to Run in the Sun!!
Now I just need to find a race or relay to sign up for.  I do better with a goal...

5.  I am thankful for these...  Flatout Foldits.  They are pretty processed, so for clean eating they probably don't count.  But I love them - for sammies or paninis or whatever - and they are just 90 calories each!  And they meet the need when I am NEEDING carbs!!

Lastly, I am thankful for From My Grey Desk, and her awesome High Five for Fridays idea!!  Thx Lauren!

...high 5 for Friday...

HIGH FIVE FOR FRIDAY!!!
Its Good Friday, and Easter is coming.  That in itself makes it a great Friday!
Here too, is my week in review....

1.  We redid our fish tank!  We have had it for about 6 years now, but every once in a while we give it a make-over and add some new fish (to replace the ones no longer with us!)  For the next few days the boys have their chairs pulled up to the tank and they watch the action for hours!  Pretty exciting!
...better than TV...

2.  Our pellet stove!  When we bought our house, it had a pellet stove but we've never used it.  Finally a few months ago my husband figured it all out and got it going.  It is WONDERFUL.  This coming from a girl who does not like to be cold.  Ahhhh this week its been a steady 70 degrees in our house!  I'm loving it!
...heat...

3.  Daffodils!!  Sure sign that Spring is here.  In Oregon, you never know what Spring will bring - often just a lotta rain!  But its still a signal that winter is wrapping up and yes, our 3 months of sunny weather are on the way!  Love too how my boys spot daffodils along our drive, getting as excited to see them as Christmas lights!
...daffodils...

4.  YUMM Sauce.  If you live in Oregon, you know about Yumm Sauce.  From a place called Cafe Yumm.  This is the yummiest stuff ever invented.  Good on a Yumm bowl (quinoa, beans, veggies all mixed together) as well a thousands of other things.  YUMMY!
...YUMM sauce...

5.  TABATA.  Have you heard of it yet?  The 4 minute workout that is the best/hardest/craziest thing you'll ever do!  Its high intensity intervals (full squats), 20 seconds on with a 10 second rest, for 4 minutes.  I am serious.  The first time you do it, you use muscles you never know you had.  You get so sore.  No joke.  For 3 days you can't really move anything.  But boy what a good workout!  At our gym, The Box, we take a 2 week break every quarter, with no classes.  The break is almost over - we start again on Monday.  YIKES!  I have mixed feelings.  It will be good to be back at it, but I only did tabata once on my own so its gonna kick my behind!
(for more info see www.fmwtraining.com)
